Hello! We are The Green Condition, a student team designing a game based around large-scale sustainability.

Substantial Sustainability is a board game aimed at middle schoolers and up where each person plays as the leader of an unnamed nation. The goal of the game is to achieve subgoals of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (6, 7, 11, & 12) by spending funds to buy the infrastructure required. According to the UN’s website, the effects of climate change become irreversible at 2030, so we set that as the end of our game’s timeline. The ultimate goal is to collaborate with your fellow nations and develop a collective sustainable lifestyle rather than pushing to be the one nation to rule them all.

Our ultimate objective is to drive home the urgency of the matter and to emphasize that time is of the essence for our planet and everyone plays a significant role.
